Why we are asking first
Building hardware properly costs a lot before a single unit ships. Design, testing, molds and FCC certification all come first. Before we commit, we want to know how many working performers want one. Joining costs nothing and does not commit you to buy.
What it is designed to do
- Buttons you can find by touch in the dark, with a firm click on every press
- An encrypted, paired radio link, so nobody else can fire your cues
- A 4 inch touchscreen showing the track, the time left and what is up next
- No phone needed: the receiver plays your whole show by itself, from its built in memory or a microSD card
- Plugging in a phone is optional. When you do, it controls Go Show Audio, even in the background
- Already use another show app? It sends keyboard shortcuts and MIDI, so it can fire any app that takes them
- Works with iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac and Windows
- Balanced XLR out straight to the sound desk
- Charges your phone or tablet while you perform
- A rechargeable remote with its battery level shown on the receiver
Every connection on the back
All the cables leave from the rear, away from you and out of the audience's sightline. The front stays clean.
How it gets made
We are working with an electronics manufacturer and the design is fully specified. This is the honest path from here to your hands.
1. Electronics and firmware design
The circuit boards, the radio link and the touchscreen software are designed and built.
2. Working prototypes
Prototype sets are tested on real stages, including a long radio test with interference running. It has to pass before anything else happens.
3. Production molds
Injection molds are cut for the final cases, so every unit feels like a finished product.
4. FCC and CE certification
An independent lab tests and certifies both units so they can be sold legally.
5. Production and shipping
The first run is built, checked and shipped to people on this list first.
